Jesus' disciples ask him, "Lord, increase our faith." Faith is a gift of God to us. Faith comforts us when all our strength is gone. It is at these moments that we must make a choice. The choice is to rely on our own strength or to put all our trust in God. God has brought us through the many storms of our lives and has kept us firm in the hope that no matter what we are going through, God will never abandon us. In our lives, even at the same time, it is a gift of God to us. There are days when our faith seems small and weak. There are other times when our friend once said, "Faith is about knowing what God asks of us and trying to do what God asks of us."
Increase our faith! Even just a little genuine faith, and I'll never stop saying "Thank you!" God owes me nothing. God has given me everything – everything that matters – because that is the way God is. It is all a gift. St. Paul's letter reminds us that "All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord.
Our understanding of Jesus needs to shift from simply trusting in Him to having a personal relationship with the Lord. In our relationship with the Lord, we can entrust all our desires, hopes, and fears into his hands. This self-emptying love for God keeps our hearts and minds focused on him.
In the quiet of our hearts, we must be open to hearing God say to us, "You have to trust me even when you do not understand what I am doing. You must trust my timing. My ways are higher than your ways. Just believe that all things are working together for your good." These words hold the key to increasing our faith. If we truly allow them to live in us, our faith will grow and multiply, filling us with hope and optimism.

O Almighty God, we come before you with hearts filled with compassion and love for your servant, Father Jerry. You know the burdens he carries, the weariness he feels, and the hurts he endures in his human heart.
We ask you to draw him close to your Sacred Heart, to give him strength, comfort, and healing. Grant him the grace of his vocation, that he may feel your unwavering love and know that he is deeply appreciated and prayed for by your people.
Shield him from the enemy's temptations and the weariness of his calling. May he find solace and peace in your presence, and may your divine physician's power strengthen him, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen 🙏🏼
